My new Euchre (card playing) club, almost entirely comprised of Midwestern transplants, is making me a German chocolate cake (my personal fave) for our next tourney Thursday, the night before my bday. That is such a Midwestern farm country thing to do—it makes me feel like I’m back at home in Northern Illinois.
